OVERVIEW

Precision Stainless Steel CNC Machining, Built for Real-World Service

Stainless steel is unforgiving: it work-hardens, deflects under the cutter and demands rigid machines and tight process control. That is exactly what our ISO 9001 shop is set up for. We turn and mill corrosion-resistant stainless components for medical, food, marine, pump & valve, automotive and automation buyers — from a single prototype to repeat serial production.

🔩

Stainless Steel CNC Turning

Swiss-type and fixed-head CNC lathes turn shafts, sleeves, bushings, pins, fittings and rotational parts in 303/304/316 with fine finishes and concentric bores, including long, slender parts on sliding-headstock machines.

🛠️

3-Axis & 5-Axis Milling

Multi-axis CNC milling of flanges, valve bodies, manifolds, brackets, housings and plates, with 5-axis simultaneous machining for complex geometry machined from all sides in fewer setups.

🌀

Turn-Mill in One Setup

Combined turning and milling on multi-task machines produces complex rotational components with milled flats, cross-holes and ports in a single clamping, improving accuracy and reducing lead time.

📐

Tight Tolerance & CMM

We hold ±0.01 mm on critical features and verify dimensions with a coordinate measuring machine (CMM), height gauge and calibrated instruments, delivering first-article and final inspection reports.

✨

Passivation & Polishing

Passivation, electropolishing, mirror polishing, brushing and bead blasting remove free iron and improve corrosion resistance and appearance, with defined Ra values on request.

🌍

DDP to USA & Europe

Certified, traceable stock, secure packaging and worldwide DHL/FedEx/UPS, air or sea freight. DDP to the EU clears customs and duty for true door-to-door delivery.

MATERIALS

Stainless Steel Grades We Machine

We source certified stainless bar, tube and plate with mill test certificates. Grade selection is part of our free DFM review.

304 / 304L

The most common austenitic grade. 304L's low carbon improves weldability and reduces carbide precipitation. General housings, brackets and structural parts.

316 / 316L

Molybdenum-bearing grade with better chloride and salt-water resistance. Marine, food, medical, pharmaceutical and chemical-equipment components.

303 / 416

Free-machining grades with added sulphur for high-speed turning of shafts, pins, nuts and fittings where the highest corrosion resistance is not required.

17-4 PH (630)

Precipitation-hardening stainless offering high strength and hardness with good corrosion resistance — aerospace, shafting and high-load components.

15-5 PH

Similar to 17-4 with better transverse toughness; widely used in valve, pump and aerospace parts needing strength and corrosion resistance.

2205 Duplex

Dual-phase (austenite + ferrite) grade with high strength and excellent stress-corrosion resistance for oil, gas, marine and chemical service.

420 / 440C

Martensitic, hardenable stainless for wear parts, cutlery, bearing components and parts requiring high hardness and moderate corrosion resistance.

A286 / 316Ti

Heat-resistant and stabilized grades for fasteners, turbine and engine components exposed to elevated temperatures.

SURFACE FINISH

Stainless Steel Surface Treatments

Finish directly affects corrosion resistance and cleanability. We apply treatments in-house and through qualified partners to your specification.

Passivation

Citric or nitric acid passivation removes free iron and surface contamination after machining, restoring the passive chromium-oxide layer that gives stainless steel its corrosion resistance.

Electropolishing

Electrochemical polishing smooths peaks and removes micro-burrs, improving hygiene and corrosion performance for medical, food, pharmaceutical and sanitary components.

Mirror Polishing

Mechanical polishing to a high-luster mirror finish for visible, sanitary or decorative parts, with defined roughness (Ra) values and consistent direction.

Brushing / Bead Blasting

Satin, brushed or bead-blasted finishes deliver a uniform, low-glare surface that hides fingerprints and handling marks on equipment panels and enclosures.

Pickling

Removes weld discoloration and oxide scale after welding or heat treatment, restoring uniform corrosion resistance across welded stainless assemblies.

Special Coatings

On request we provide PVD, powder coating or PTFE-impregnated finishes for wear, anti-galling or low-friction applications, with masking for precision bores.

FAQ

Stainless Steel CNC Machining FAQ

Practical answers from our engineering team. Still unsure? Send your drawing and ask.

Which stainless steel grades can you CNC machine?
We routinely machine 304/304L, 316/316L, 303 (free-machining), 416, 420 and 440C, 17-4 PH (630), 15-5 PH and 2205 duplex stainless steel, as well as A286 for higher-temperature applications. Tell us the grade and we source certified, traceable stock.
What tolerance do you hold on stainless steel CNC parts?
Our standard tolerance follows ISO 2768-mK and we routinely hold ±0.01 mm on critical features, with tighter tolerances where the design and process allow. Because stainless steel work-hardens and deflects under cutting forces, we use rigid setups, sharp tooling and stress-relief strategies to keep dimensions and surface finish stable.
Do you provide material certificates and CMM reports for stainless parts?
Yes. Mill test certificates (EN 10204 3.1), first-article inspection reports and CMM dimensional reports with measured values are available on request, so each batch of 304/316 parts is fully traceable and documented.
Can you passivate and electropolish stainless steel parts?
Yes. We offer passivation (citric/nitric) to remove free iron and improve corrosion resistance, plus electropolishing, mirror polishing, brushing/bead blasting and pickling. Finishes are applied to defined standards and Ra values can be supplied to your specification.
Is 316 stainless steel better than 304 for marine or chemical use?
316/316L adds molybdenum and gives better resistance to chlorides, salt water and many chemicals, so it is preferred for marine, food, pharmaceutical and chemical-equipment parts. 304/304L is usually the economical choice for general indoor and structural use. Our engineers can advise on grade selection during the free DFM review.
What is the minimum order quantity for stainless steel CNC parts?
There is no fixed MOQ. We make one-off stainless steel prototypes, small pilot batches and repeat serial production. Many customers start with a single turned or milled sample and move to series orders once the design is validated.
How do you machine stainless steel without work hardening?
Austenitic grades such as 304 and 316 work-harden quickly, so we use sharp, rigid tooling, appropriate feeds and speeds, ample coolant, and avoid dwell or rubbing. For high-volume turned parts we use free-machining 303 where the design allows, or 304L/316L for welded or corrosion-critical components.
How do you ship stainless steel parts to the USA and Europe?
We ship worldwide by DHL/FedEx/UPS, air freight or sea freight under EXW, FOB or DDP terms. DDP deliveries to Germany, France, Italy, Spain and other EU countries include customs clearance and import duty, so parts arrive door-to-door. Prototype parts usually ship in 5–10 working days.
